Preston is a curious penguin who lives in a lively zoo filled with vibrant, colorful animals. But Preston’s world is black and white, and he longs to fit in with his colorful friends. Despite his efforts to befriend them, the other animals laugh at his plain appearance. Determined to change, Preston decides to decorate himself to look like the other animals. From a cheetah to a butterfly, a peacock to a frog, and even a flamingo, Preston tries everything to be accepted. Yet, his attempts only bring more laughter and teasing.
Feeling disheartened, Preston decides to paint himself in the bright colors of his best friend, Polly the parrot. When Polly sees him, he is sad. He tells Preston that he is loved just as he is, without needing to change his colors.
